Other body is a group exhibition with nine established Danish and international contemporary artists. It is about the connection between emotions and bodies and the works treat, express and evoke emotions.

The exhibition deals with having a body that makes life difficult and about the feelings associated with having such a body. It is an exhibition about being human and feeling sadness, pain, trauma, self-hatred, powerlessness and anger because of one's body. The works show the other side, which is often kept hidden, and the negative emotions that can knock us down bodily - or which can sometimes spill out of the body uncontrollably.

The works are about bodies that are outside the 'norm'. Fat, disabled, sick or queer bodies. They are about people with bodies that physically or mentally cannot do the same as so-called normalized bodies. About how these bodies are affected by other people's gazes and prejudices and by a lack of inclusion from the environment and society.
It is therefore also an exhibition about living conditions and structural challenges. The works ask, among other things, what kind of body do you need to have to be desired sexually and as a worker? To achieve reputation, a good career and to earn a lot of money?

Second Body thus focuses on how individual, bodily living conditions are shaped by structural norms and connect to larger societal conditions conveyed in art.

Installation, video, relief, painting and sculpture will be shown. Several of the works will be completely new and produced for the exhibition. The rest are already existing works that are being adapted Other body.
Several works show nudity, violence, and sexual content.
